Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
BS, MS or Doctorate in Physical Therapy
Must be licensed as Physical Therapist in the State of Texas
CPR certification for Healthcare Providers or must certify within 90 days hire
New Grads welcome to apply
Preferred Requirements:
Good verbal and written communication skills in English
Problem solving ability
Ability to teach others
Good time management
Good interpersonal and customer service skills
Neuro rehab experience preferred
Work Environment: rotate between inpatient and outpatient
Work Hours/Schedule-Full Time: 8:00 am to 4:30 pm and 7:30 am to 6:00 pm, rotating schedule
Duties
•Uses therapeutic treatment techniques appropriate to patient age and desire for treatment.
•Performs treatment procedures that are within the scope of the professional license.
•Performs/delegates technical procedures appropriately and safely.
•Utilizes a variety of treatment techniques to achieve goals, if necessary.
•Determine patient response to treatment and evaluate progress (reassessment).
•Educates patient and family through instruction, demonstration, or appropriate handouts in treatment plan, safety issues, home programs/self management and assistive equipment.
•Patient safety maintained throughout treatment
•Communicates with physicians and other healthcare personnel as appropriate regarding patient care issues
•Demonstrates competence in the performance of age appropriate patient treatment and individualizes care based on age specific needs.
Arlington Memorial Hospital is an acute care, full service 369-bed medical center serving Arlington, Texas and the North Texas area. This facility offers a variety of services and specialties, including a 19-bed ICU and 20-bed CCU. Arlington Memorial Hospital also offers a 53-bed progressive Cardiac Care unit with telemetric monitoring, catherization suites for cardiac care, a Neonatal ICU, an Advance Imaging Center and five hemodialysis beds. This, along with rehabilitation, emergency and Women's and Children's services, makes our hospital a place where your career can grow.
