Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Plano, a Magnet facility, is currently in search of an Medical/Surgical Registered Nurse to help meet the needs of our patients.
Current Texas Registered Nurse license. Two years MedSurg RN experience required - Telemetry experience also is preferred. Computer proficiency for patient charting. The candidate chosen will have an excellent opportunity to take care of MedSurg and Telemetry patients. Heavy interaction also with families, unit staff, hospital staff and physicians.
Shift: 7a-7p. 2-3 yrs Telemetry experience preferred
Duties
As primary care giver, candidates for this position will have the opportunity to stay actively involved in the total care plan through patient and family education. Responsibilities will include patient assessment, creating and maintaining a sterile and safe environment to include service as patient advocate. Initiate action to protect patient rights and/or preferences; adhere to HIPAA, Safety and Infection Control guidelines. Candidates will be expected to maintain and enhance nursing skills. This position requires basic computer knowledge, excellent verbal and written communication skills.
