Texas Health Presbyterian Denton has initiated a search for an Endoscopy RN.
The Endoscopy Registered Nurse is responsible for the nursing activities related to care of the patient experiencing an endoscopy or other invasive procedure. The nurse can expect to care for patients of various age groups.
Basis Qualifications/Requirements:
• Current RN license by the State of Texas
• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
• 2 years GI/Endoscopy experience with moderate sedation for procedure
• Leadership qualities
• Service Excellence skills
• ACLS and BCLS
Minimum Requirements/Skills:
• Exceptional critical thinking
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Must be highly motivated
• Work well with a team and have the ability to function in a fast paced environment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
ICU, ED, or Operating Room experience very helpful
Hours/Schedule: PRN
Monday – Friday 7-3
Call schedule rotation for closed department hours
Department Overview:
The Endoscopy Department is open M-F 7-3. Closed weekends & Holidays, require on call for all closed hours. We serve an adult population for outpatients & inpatients requiring an Endoscopy GI & Pulmonary (including diagnostic & therapeutic procedures.
Duties
Responsible for the delivery of patient care through the nursing process of assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation. Responsible for directing, coordinating all nursing care based on established clinical nursing practices. Collaborates with other professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcomes.
Shift available: Prn (as needed) 7:00am-3:00pm Rotating shift
